I've checked my speakers, checked the Minecraft tab under the "Mixer", updated my sound drivers, checked the "resources" folder and replaced it with a fresh one, did the whole deleting and replacing of the OpenAL.dll file thingy (my system is 32-bit, with the latest 32-bit Java installed). ![]() ![]() This was just before Minecraft 1.3 came (26 July or somewhere there).Īfter saving my pennies and buying a new computer 4 months later, I get all happy, reinstall Minecraft and update it to 1.4.4, only to NOT HAVE ANY SOUND EFFECTS, at all. But then I got Windows 7 Professional soon after, and there, it was fine. I installed it on Windows XP first, and I didn't have sound, at all. ![]() The thing is, I had Minecraft and all was good. I don't usually ask for help, because I can usually figure things out by myself, but it has finally come to this.
